Helping Those Affected by the L.A. Fires
By now I'm sure all of you have heard many stories from the tragic fires in Los Angeles. Sometimes it's hard to comprehend the devastation from a far, but this one hit home. Some of our coworkers were affected, and nearly everyone here had friends and family affected.

We knew we had to do what we could and that the efforts would be going on for a long period of time as everyone works to rebuild.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility team got together and started to figure out things we could all do and thought we would share them here in case if it inspires you to donate or volunteer your time to these organizations.

Numerous musicians lost their homes, gear, everything in the fires. We focused our monetary donations towards helping those musicians who lost so much.
  • Guitar Center Music Foundation - Most days Guitar Center Music Foundation is helping with instrument grants and donations to schools and music education programs. But after the fires they stepped up to also help musicians that lost gear. Many of these musicians had gigs coming up and needed to figure things out quickly.
  • MusiCares - MusicCares has been providing help for musicians for over 35 years. Providing Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services, Health Services, and Human Services such as helping with rent, utilities, car payments and insurance premiums in times of hardship. So when so many musicians were affected by the fires MusiCares quickly jumped up to help.
  • NAMM Wildfire fund - With NAMM happening just after the fires came through, they knew they needed to help out. So NAMM Foundation acted quickly and created the 2025 LA Wildfires Relief Fund. The Fund was create to help NAMM members, music programs, and music professionals in the area.
The feeling we all had most in Los Angeles during this time though was all of us asking how can we help? Where can we help?

We got together a group of co-workers and went to help out at Project Angel Food for the day. They need volunteers everyday to help build meals and distribute meals to 2700 clients per day. They daily cater their meals to vulnerable people facing critical and life-threatening illness, but after the fires they added some more meals per day to help out with those displaced and in need of help.

It was a wonderful day volunteering and everyone at Project Angel Food was a joy to be around as we worked hard in the kitchen.

But we have more to do. We will soon be helping out at Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank and The Tree People. Stay tuned to hear about them in a future post.

And thank you for taking the time to learn more about how you can help, too.
